Cottonwood Farm is situated on 40 acres of prime agricultural land in the historic Fulford Valley on Salt Spring Island and was once the homestead of the Gyves Family and part of the early island settlements and island history.
The farm is now managed by the Astill Family and is home to a flock of Cheviot and Romney sheep bred both for their wool and meat.
We offer Salt Spring Island wool and fleece suitable for spinning as well as a variety of yarns in natural colours for the discerning knitter. Our yarn is suitable for knitting outerwear and is tough and durable, yet soft and warm. Our yarns also uaed to weave lovely blankets. Each fleece can betraced back to its donor.
We also sell government inspected lamb at fair market prices.
